Hi! My name is Jacob and I have been teaching music to students of all ages for over 15 years. After graduating with a jazz performance degree from the Oberlin Conservatory I taught individual and group lessons in the San Francisco Bay Area from 2005 till 2016 when I moved to Nashville. I believe in a supportive and encouraging approach to teaching and tailor each lesson plan to the individual student. We will use the repertoire and styles that you’re interested in to explore technique, music theory, rhythm, performance and musicianship at your skill level. Whether you are a beginner or an adult stuck in a rut with your playing, we will keep fun and inspiration at the center of the lesson in a supportive and light teaching environment.
